Salary: $ 80,080 CAD / year

Duties:

  • Responsible for full cycle accounting duties that include customer billing and vendor invoicing, month end accrual & adjusting entries
  • Input data and information in SAP FICO system and prepare weekly and monthly financial statements for management review
  • Review inter-company transactions with related companies, solve the variance and discrepancy if there’s any
  • Assist with preparation of monthly management reporting packages
  • Perform preliminary review on financial statements and investigate any exceptional situations and resolve the issues
  • Analyze and compare financial results to history data and budget targets at corporate level
  • Participate in year-end closing, prepare year-end external audit schedules, and respond to various queries and requests from external auditors
  • Ensure HST/FST remittance on a monthly basis
  • Assist in preparing annual budgeting and projection based on actual data and business assumptions
  • Collaborate with sales team to ensure accurate invoicing and timely collections, resulting in improved cash flow for four (4) financial entities in the US, Canada and Asia Pacific
  • Conduct regular reviews of aged accounts receivable reports, ensuring timely follow-up on past due balances
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects as needed, contributing valuable input from an accounting perspective
  • Maintain and organize filing system for financial records, enabling easy access during audits or other review processes
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field is required
  • Either 2 years or 30 months of on-the-job training
  • Korean communication skill is preferred as this position is responsible for one Financial Entity – Hsueh Hui Mei Int’l which covers Asia Pacific Territory. E.g. this role works with clients in South Korea such as Johnson & Johnson South Korea
